A critical care nurse shares the ups and downs that she experienced when newly diagnosed with diabetes. Despite being a nurse and following medical instructions about blood sugar control, Diane was unsuccessful in keeping her A1C low enough. What was wrong? It took Diane and her identical twin two years to solve her healthcare puzzle. And today, she provides some ideas on what your patients might be experiencing and how to better assess what they are telling you.
